Financial assistance available
The amount of financial assistance varies according to the heating capacity (number of BTUs) in winter conditions of the heat pump you choose. The higher the capacity of the heat pump, the higher the amount of financial assistance.

Who can benefit from the Efficient Heat Pump grant program?
An individual or a company that legally owns an eligible home in Quebec supplied by the Hydro-Québec distribution system.
What types of homes are eligible for the Efficient Heat Pump program?
- Single-family and semi-detached homes
- Townhouses
- Mobile homes
- Multi-generational homes
- Duplexes and triplexes
- Condominium apartments
- Multi-residential apartments

What work is eligible for the Efficient Heat Pump program?
- The complete installation of an air-source heat pump by a company registered with the Enterprise Register of Quebec, holding the appropriate RBQ licenses and a member of the professional order for its sector of activity.
- Replacement of a single coil or unit does not qualify for financial assistance.

What products are eligible for the Efficient Heat Pump program?
- The heat pump must be on the list of eligible products purchased in Quebec and installed in an eligible home.
- The entire system, inside and out, must be new.

Consult the Participant’s Guide to make sure you have all the necessary documents.
Please note: you have a maximum of 6 months after the start date of the work to submit your subsidy application. Your application will be analyzed, and if additional documents or information are required, Hydro-Québec will contact you within 20 days of receipt.
If your application is approved, your financial assistance will be mailed to you within 10 to 12 weeks.
